History Walking Tour
Standard history walking tour includes the history of the buildings and the stories behind the names.
Wednesday
History Tea & Stories of Big Sur and Deetjen’s Inn
Traditional Devonshire Tea
Wednesday, August 19 & 26, 3 p.m.
Historic photos and early guestbook excerpts.
Stories about the early settlers of Castro Canyon, the first Big Sur businesses, Highway One construction, and the Deetjens.
Community Quilting Bee
Wednesday, August 5 & 12, 1:30–4:30 p.m.
The Deetjen’s Community Quilting Bee will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Bring a piece of fabric to add to the quilt, contribute a few stitches, or simply drop in to view the progress. We look forward to seeing you there!
