Grandpa’s Room

Grandpa’s room, with its rich history, is the first room in The Row nearest the entrance to the Inn. A wood-burning stove emanates warmth, while creating a space that is an homage to the past where Grandpa Deetjen spent his final years. The room offers accommodation for two to three people, courtesy of an extra single bed. Guests can relish the legacy of a bygone era while enjoying the warm embrace of the wood stove. Grandpa’s room stands as a living tribute to the rich history of the Inn, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in its rustic charm and storied past.

Room Details

  • Check-in time is 4 p.m. and checkout time is 12 noon.

  • All rooms are non-smoking.

  • No pets allowed.

  • We require a two-night minimum stay on weekends and holidays.

  • Rooms are subject Monterey County taxes.

  • To ensure a tranquil stay for all of our guests, we ask that everyone be quiet after 10 p.m. and before 8 a.m.

  • We do not have roll away beds.

  • If there are more than 2 guests per room, we charge a $25 housekeeping fee for each additional guest. By order of the Fire Marshal over occupying a room is prohibited by law.
